From "not good enough" to the impossible.
I grew up in Los Angeles obsessed with basketball — and got cut from my high school team. Twice. Instead of quitting, I found the high-jump pit, and that one decision changed my life.
I became a two-time All-American triple jumper at UCLA, qualified for the 2012 Olympic Trials, and then rediscovered my first love: dunking. I've performed with the Harlem Globetrotters, set world records on the highest rims, torn my ACL and come all the way back. Today I teach PE and coach track & field at Bullard High School — and on weekends, I fly.
